Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and transformational leader to take the helm of our Health and Social Care Partnership on a permanent basis. This is a pivotal role requiring a visionary leader who can drive long-term change and steer the organisation through ongoing challenges while ensuring the highest quality of care and support for our communities.

As Chief Officer, you will be responsible for the full range of services agreed upon by the Integrated Joint Board, with a particular focus on navigating complex financial pressures while strengthening the Partnership’s strategic direction and operational effectiveness.

The successful candidate will have extensive leadership experience within a large, multi-functional organisation—ideally within Health & Social Care—and a proven track record of delivering transformational change at a senior management level. Given the dynamic political landscape and breadth of stakeholders involved at local, regional, and national levels, highly developed relationship management and political acumen are essential.

This role demands significant expertise in financial stewardship, workforce planning, strategic development, risk management, and service delivery. Additionally, experience of working with inspection and scrutiny agencies at a senior level will be critical in shaping the future of the Partnership.

If you are a forward-thinking leader who thrives in complex environments and is passionate about driving sustainable change in Health and Social Care, we would welcome your application.
