Our client is looking for talented chefs to join their friendly team at their 4-star country house hotel, situated near Falmouth.

Shifts will cover a mixture of breakfast, lunch, dinner, afternoon teas, functions and any other catering duties and will include weekend work.

Location, location, location

They are about 6 miles from Falmouth/Penryn so having your own transport is important. There is a live in option for anyone needing to relocate..

Being by this beautiful river near Helford is great if you like being out on the water, or in it, during your time off. Some of the team are keen fishermen, wild swimmers, and we've got kayaking and paddle boarding from our private cove. There's also some fantastic coastal walks nearby and some of the team cycle to work.

This Hotel is a 4 star hotel set in 65 acres by the banks of the Helford River, 6 miles from Falmouth/Penryn.

The hotel itself has 55 bedrooms, bar, spa, restaurant, golf course, tennis courts, boating and kayaking plus 7 self-catering properties. The hotel restaurant has a great reputation for it's modern British cuisine, with fish dishes a speciality.

Main responsibilities of the job ......

· The ideal candidate will have great professional integrity, a passion for working with the best locally sourced ingredients and be able to work effectively in all sections of the kitchen including pastry, producing mouth-watering menus for breakfast, lunch, dinner and afternoon tea service as well as functions.

· Working as part of an effective and efficient team both within the kitchen brigade but also as part of the wider team including food service staff to delivery the highest quality of food to the guests of the hotel.

· Ensure that the highest standards of cleanliness and general hygiene of all work areas is maintained.

· Comply with all training, risk assessment and COSHH requirements.

· Ensure that wastage is kept to a minimum.
