Support Worker

On behalf of our client, we are recruiting Support Workers to help in both home and supported living environments.

The shifts are varied. This is not full-time work but is more ad hoc. As an agency, we will receive requirements each week for different days and at different times.

Ideally, if you are looking for extra hours each week, or if you do not need guaranteed hours but are happy to pick up the odd bit of work, then this would be ideal for you.

Shifts vary and may include:

• 9:00am – 5:00pm

• 12:00pm – 5:00pm

• 5:00pm – 10:00pm

• Sleep-in shifts will also be required

Duties Include

• Providing high-quality 2:1 care and support

• Supporting individuals with daily living activities

• Managing and responding appropriately to challenging behaviours

• Supporting individuals with epilepsy in line with care plans and training

• Promoting independence, dignity and choice

• Completing accurate care documentation

• Working closely with the wider care team to ensure safe, person-centred support

Requirements

• A Driving License and full access to your own vehicle is essential 

• Previous experience working as a Healthcare Assistant or Support Worker

• Care Certificate (essential) Manual Handling, Safeguarding, Medication, First Aid

• Up-to-date mandatory training

• Enhanced Adult DBS registered and in date

• Experience supporting individuals with challenging behaviour, epilepsy and autism is desirable

• A caring, reliable and professional approach
