About us and the role

We aim to grow visitors' 'science capital' and engagement with Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM). The Science Museum's Retail Team continues the audience journey by providing a seamless experience into its varied retail outlets.

Buying a souvenir is always a big part of having a super day out - and the retail team at the Science Museum are dedicated to helping people get exactly what they are looking for - gaming classics, key figures in STEM and memorable keepsakes.

To help continue the experience our engaging galleries offer our diverse audiences, we are looking for permanent, full and part time Retail Sales Advisors to join us!

Engaging with and assisting our visitors with their purchases will be the essence of your work, ensuring that they have a great day and providing them with a great experience within the retail outlets. You'll also be replenishing stock and maintaining high standards of visual merchandising.

About you

Whether your career in Retail has just begun, or you have already developed some experience on the shop floor - We are keen to hear from you!

Our Retail Team is committed to developing and investing in your career, we regularly promote within and find that colleagues get the most from their time at the Museum when they are the most engaged versions of themselves.

You will bring customer service and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to build good working relationships as part of a team. With a knack for customer interaction, you will create an environment where our customers are welcome and comfortable.
