About the Role
We're looking for a Construction Industry Placement and Employer Liaison Coordinator to join our Work Experience team, reporting to the Work Experience & Industry Placement Lead.
You'll play an important role in supporting construction students to access meaningful industry placements, working closely with employers and curriculum teams to create opportunities that help students develop their skills, confidence and understanding of the workplace.
Our team works across the Education Training Collective to build strong employer relationships and ensure students have access to valuable experiences that support their future careers.
As a Construction Industry Placement and Employer Liaison Coordinator, you will:
· Source, organise and coordinate industry placements for construction students across the Tees Valley
· Build and maintain positive relationships with local construction employers, developing new opportunities for students.
· Work closely with students, employers and curriculum teams to ensure placements are suitable, meaningful and beneficial.
· Visit students during their placements, providing support and working with employers to monitor their progress
· Maintain accurate placement records, complete relevant health and safety checks and support the delivery of employer-led activities.
Who We’re Looking For
We're looking for someone who is organised, approachable and enthusiastic about helping young people develop their skills and prepare for employment.
You'll be confident communicating with a range of people, building positive relationships with employers and supporting students to make the most of their industry placements. You'll have strong organisational and IT skills, be able to manage competing priorities and take a proactive approach to finding new opportunities.
Experience of working with employers or in a customer-facing role would be beneficial, but most importantly, we're looking for someone who is motivated, adaptable and committed to making a positive difference to students' futures.
