Hours per week: The role carries a permanent contract with a minimum of 40 hours per week

We are seeking a seeking a reliable and hard-working individual to join our team in the role of

Reception Supervisor. 

PRIMARY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee daily operations during your shift, ensuring tasks are completed to a high standard.

• Delegate tasks based on workload and priorities, ensuring efficient completion.
• Handle complex guest queries or complaints, ensuring prompt resolution.
• Provide personalised attention to VIPs and repeat guests.
• Conduct pre-shift briefings to highlight key updates and priorities.
• Verify the accuracy of daily reports, including banking and reservation audits
• Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism and upholding Dakota Values in all interactions.
• Represent Reception at weekly Operations Meetings in the absence of the Reception Manager, discussing feedback and updates.
• Assist with stock takes and ordering when required.
• Ensure a structured and thorough handover at the end of each shift, using verbal updates, handover spreadsheets, and communication channels.

 

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS

The successful applicant will have/be:

• A minimum of two years working experience in a hospitality setting, preferably in a hotel environment. 

 

Experience being a Reception Shift Leader.

• Experience working in 4* and 5* hotels are strongly preferred
• Be computer literate, with experience using a property management system such as Opera or Shiji with the ability to learn, however full training will be given.  
• Great communicator and a genuine people person 
• Hands-on approach to all aspects of the role, available to work flexible shifts and present in the business during peak times.
• Flexible with shift patterns and available around the needs of our business.
• Successful candidates must demonstrate having researched our brand and a genuine desire to be part of our team.
